Notable Egyptologists believe that The Great Pyramid was built as a burial tomb for Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu (Cheops in Greek) during the 4th Dynasty. The Great Pyramid is believed to have taken approximately 20 years to construct, finishing around 2560 BC.
