For those not familiar with the X-Men, Emma Grace Frost is a character from Marvel Comics. First appearing in Uncanny X-Men #129 (January 1980), Emma Frost is a mutant telepath with a notable dry wit. She was initially known as the White Queen and, over time, Emma Frost evolved from one of the X-Men's most dangerous foes to one of the group's key members.

What is a cinemagraph? Firstly, it is cool. Secondly, it is used mostly in fashion and new for online advertising. Thirdly, it is a artistic animated gif, at least in my humble opinion. The gif is animated but only in certain areas to give a mood or feeling to the moving picture. Kind of like telling a story with something as subtle as hair blowing or candles flickering as in this cinemagraph. What do you think about them? Vintage Men's Magazine Featuring Jane Russell and Marilyn Monroe - I Photograph Nude Sinners

First published in 1955, Exposed magazine was a mixture of gossip, sex, and intrigue. It appears to have rivaled modern day rags like the National Enquirer, but looks to have been published more for men than women. It cost a whopping $0.25 back in 1955.

The feature story in the magazine's first issue is entitled "I Photograph Nude Sinners" by private detective Graham Moulton. Mr. Moutlon specialized in catching "passionate men and maids with their guards down." It is a story of a man (and sometimes his wife and son) taking photos of women and men in intimate moments with people other than their spouses.

The message of the article is clear... Don't cheat, you scum bag. And, not because it's morally objective, but because you might get caught on camera by Graham Moulton!

Some interesting points from the article...

• You can't bribe Mr. Moulton. He tells the story of how a musician tried to give him $3,000.00 to take photos of his cheating wife. Problem was, his wife wasn't cheating. The musician was planning to hire another man to visit his wife and take off his clothes in her presence - then he wanted Moulton to take the entrapping photos. Even though he was desperate for cash, Moulton claims to have shoved the guy out of his office.
• Mr. Moulton claims that "chasing down hussies is a thankless job."
• Moulton states that 90% of his male clients have received child custody.
• He finds that most people cheating are looking for something they can't get at home.
• In the line of duty, Moulton has been stabbed, shot at, and had an axe thrown at him by the cheating subjects of his photography.

If you haven't already heard, Disney has decided they're NOT going to do any new fairy tale movies for a while. The top children and family movie studio in Hollywood says that Tangled (featuring the princess Rapunzel - above left) will be the last fairy tale / princess movie it is doing for the foreseeable future. Having young kids myself and growing up with Disney movies like Aladdin, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Sleeping Beauty, Mulan, and Beauty and the Beast (among others), I must say that I believe this to be a travesty. (Of course, it also bothers me because women just look so darn hot in princess costumes!!)

Disney claims that the reason for this change in movie culture is that girls simply no longer aspire to become princesses or even to get married. And, unfortunately, many experts agree. “By the time they’re 5 or 6, they’re not interested in being princesses,” said Dafna Lemish, chairman of the Radio and TV Department at Southern Illinois University and a self-proclaimed expert in the role of media in children’s lives. “They’re interested in being hot, in being cool. Clearly, they see this is what society values.”

This vintage photograph (postcard?) from 1903 shows a group of merry people doing a dance called the "Cake Walk." After seeing this, I couldn't help but realize how much what they're doing resembles the dance from one of the best music videos of all time... Michael Jackson's Thriller.

I so wish I could see more of the dance moves from these people, 'cause it really looks like they're doing the Thriller Zombie Dance to me!
