Another Day, Another Huge Gator
15 to 18 Foot Alligator Doesn't Phase Anyone
I just don't get it. These people don't look the least bit alarmed to see this huge, 15'-18' dead alligator. Worse even, they look happy and excited to be posing beside it. I mean, c'mon, this thing was probably just killed in the very same waters where they enjoy water activities like boating, skiing, and swimming. I wouldn't even consider getting back in the water if I saw this huge beast proudly being displayed right by the boat ramp. Wow.
Alligators are certainly more than capable of killing humans and deaths do indeed occur all over the world. Since 1948, there have been more than 275 recorded unprovoked attacks on humans in Florida (USA) alone. At least 17 of these attacks resulted in death. And, fatalities appear to be on the rise in recent times, as there were only nine fatal attacks in the U.S. throughout the 70s, 80s, and 90s - but alligators killed 12 people from 2001 to 2007 in American waters.
Scary!!!
